Job Description

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a data analyst to help Chord build the context layer for agentic commerce — the platform that enables AI agents to understand, reason, and safely operate real commerce businesses.

In this role, you will be an integral part of Chord’s data team’s success. You will investigate trends and patterns in ecommerce that fuel best-in-class insights and a reporting toolkit intended to empower our customers with solid insights to drive their business. As our next Data Analyst, you will be a key member of the Data team.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Support end-to-end analytics solutions through requirements gathering, establishing key metrics, building data models, designing dashboards and visualizations, and analyzing data to drive actionable insights for our customers and internal teams.
  • Deep dive into complex data across various sources, trends, and questions to provide advanced analyses and insights for our customers.
  • Optimize, update, review, and troubleshoot data to support new and existing projects and product features in collaboration with the data team.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to build scalable and impactful data solutions and new capabilities.
  • Provide comprehensive analytics support to our customers and internal teams, and develop resources to empower data access and self-service.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to transform data into a story for and explain complex concepts to different audiences and various stakeholders.
  • To be a self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and motivated by working in a high-growth, fast-paced, and iterative environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet to analyze complex questions, support customer questions, and enhance Chord’s commerce data product.
  • Adept at turning analyses into actionable recommendations for the business and our customers.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets from different source structure data and data models for reporting consumption.
  • Experience with SQL, along with reporting and visualization tools. Experience with Looker, dbt, Snowflake, and Fivetran is a plus.
  • A plus for experience with building or analyzing metrics in an ecommerce business model, including metrics in areas like marketing attribution or web analytics.

Working at Chord, you can expect:

  • An investment in your physical and mental well-being; we offer 100% employee Medical Benefits coverage, with 69% dependent coverage.
  • Flexible PTO; we encourage you to take the time you need to be your best self at work.
  • An onboarding package and annual work from home stipend to ensure you have everything you need to be successful while working remote.
  • Generous Parental Leave with customizable transition back to work program.
  • The benefits of working from home, with opportunities to spend quality time with the team at Chord in-person events throughout the year.
  • To make an impact! We’re an early-stage company, which means there is space to champion ideas, and create and lead initiatives at any level in the Organization.

This is a full-time, salaried position that includes Equity. For US-based employment: the expected salary range for this position is $109,500 - $129,000 USD/year. For Canadian-based employment: the expected salary range for this position is $116,500 - $137,000 CAD/year. We set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies in our market. This salary range represents the full salary range for the position. The starting base pay offered may vary depending on factors including experience, expertise, market demands, and internal parity.

About your application and the interview process
