Job Description

• Managing your direct reports and supporting their professional development and career path, including setting up 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions. • Working closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned with everyone to deliver on expectations. • Guiding your team to build and enhance UI features. • Maintaining and optimizing existing systems. • Creating new features for the user interface framework. • Implementing tools for UI artists and designers. • Tracking and fixing bugs in the game user interface and user interface framework. • Managing and completing tasks effectively and on time, while creating high quality code.

Job Requirements

At least 7 years of professional experience as a UI programmer/engineer within the games industry.
3+ years of management experience.
Understanding the elements and player experience of successful user interfaces in modern video games.
Ability to build a user interface in a way that is accessible to everyone.
Strong proficiency in C++ programming and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture.
Debugging and optimization skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and respectfully in a multicultural and multilingual environment across time zones is essential.
Nice to have: (Please note that these skills are not required to apply for the position)
Experience with Diegetic/In-world UI.
Experience working with Common UI in Unreal.
Experience with multiplayer UI.
Experience with Unreal UI MVVM.
