Role Description
The Laboratory Technical Liaison (LTL) is responsible for providing technical support pre- and post-sale for moderate and high complex accounts to provide information and guidance customers need to navigate new technology decisions and assay implementations confidently.
- Facilitate pro-active sales activities within the territory accounts.
- Provide expanded menu sales, instrument and capacity expansion leads.
- Conduct moderate and high complex training and connectivity support.
- Support sales strategies and keep customers updated on assay and product changes.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for moderate and high complex products.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and global business units to identify and assess customer needs.
- Strive for excellent levels of customer satisfaction and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 2+ years of work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience OR Minimum of 3 years’ formal training experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in commercial operations.
- FAS, MT, CLS, MLS, MLT training or teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in following corporate process and administrative requirements (e.g., Salesforce.com, Monthly Reports).
Requirements
- Physical demands: Routinely required to walk, sit, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, bend, talk and hear.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position will require 75% travel by car and flying in and out of airports.
- Work environment includes some work in a lab setting with moderate to loud noise levels.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events.
