Role Description

The Laboratory Technical Liaison (LTL) is responsible for providing technical support pre- and post-sale for moderate and high complex accounts to provide information and guidance customers need to navigate new technology decisions and assay implementations confidently.

  • Facilitate pro-active sales activities within the territory accounts.
  • Provide expanded menu sales, instrument and capacity expansion leads.
  • Conduct moderate and high complex training and connectivity support.
  • Support sales strategies and keep customers updated on assay and product changes.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for moderate and high complex products.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and global business units to identify and assess customer needs.
  • Strive for excellent levels of customer satisfaction and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 2+ years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience OR Minimum of 3 years’ formal training experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in commercial operations.
  • FAS, MT, CLS, MLS, MLT training or teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in following corporate process and administrative requirements (e.g., Salesforce.com, Monthly Reports).

Requirements

  • Physical demands: Routinely required to walk, sit, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, bend, talk and hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position will require 75% travel by car and flying in and out of airports.
  • Work environment includes some work in a lab setting with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events.
