Role Description

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s daily accounts receivable operations. This role leads and develops AR staff, ensures timely and accurate billing and collections, monitors aging reports, and implements strategies to minimize bad debt exposure.

  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
  • Strengthens customer relationships
  • Supports healthy cash flow and overall financial stability

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of Accounts Receivable supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall PC skills
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare billing, collections, payer rules, reimbursement methods, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and AR data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated success improving revenue cycle performance, reducing denials, and increasing first-pass and overall collection rates
  • Self-motivated with excellent follow-through
  • Strong financial and operational acumen with strategic thinking skills
  • Experience with Avatar and KanTime billing systems preferred
