About the position:

The Business Development Representative will drive lead generation activities and calendaring/setting of appointments for Cologix sales teams. This individual will research and respond to qualified marketing leads in local markets utilizing organic research and a variety of sales tools. This individual will utilize the phone and email to contact warm leads with the goal of gathering, vetting and communicating sufficient information about the client’s needs for the field sales teams. This role is a first point of contact as well as the face of Cologix with prospective customers. Therefore, we are looking for someone who personifies the Cologix Values and is passionate about providing an outstanding overall customer experience.

What you do daily:
  • Field a high volume of Business-to-Business inbound sales calls & emails daily
  • Carry out sales qualification process via thorough and timely follow-ups with inbound leads using discovery questions while adhering to the internal rules of engagement
  • Provide outside sales team with detailed specifications and additional information gathered on contacts and leads using information collected and additional research
  • Schedule qualified appointments for the outside sales team
  • Achieve or exceed defined sales metrics for your position
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing department team members to set defined number of qualified sales appointments
  • Manage and update a Customer Relations Management (CRM) database and marketing platform with clear, concise summaries
  • Communicate clearly and thoroughly with management and team members
  • Prepare accurate reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as defined by management
  • Other duties that may be assigned to meet business needs

  • Excellent computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity working within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (NetSuite experience preferred) & proficiency in marketing platform (HubSpot preferred)

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6 months+ of over the phone business-to-business cold-calling and lead generation experience
  • Telecommunication or technology industry experience preferred but not required

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for additional compensation incentives tied to performance.
