Job Description
We are seeking a Data Integrity Specialist to join our team! This is a part-time, 24-hour per week position that will work remotely. A typical day may include:
- Analyze chart correction cases submitted in EMR and Service Now ticket system. Work with end users to facilitate chart corrections as needed to ensure accurate documentation in the medical record. This team will analyze and facilitate chart correction for both hospital charts and ambulatory clinic charts.
- Analyze potential duplicate medical record numbers and merge accounts if true duplicates. Merge potential duplicate MRNs from third party applications.
- This team will verify provider information submitted in various EMR work queues and tickets and send validated information to IT Security team to build record in database.
- This team will review pended transcribed reports submitted by third party transcription service in order to problem solve issues and complete reports so they interface to EMR.
- This team will analyze and resolve issues in multiple inbasket folders and work queues related to data integrity.
- This team will manage failed fax sends in Right Fax application and update provider information as necessary in order to send faxes correctly to recipient.
- Ability to manage conflict with peers and team members. Ability to work in matrix managed environment receiving direction from multiple managers. Exhibit flexibility, respect, and understanding in providing assistance to others. Ability to identify root causes for MPI related and chart correction problems and processes. An understanding of integration of MPI related applications running inside the organization.
- An understanding of chart correction processes within EPIC.
- Processes multiple tasks simultaneously in an ever-changing environment. Proficiency in problem identification, analysis and resolution skills. Ability to identify dependencies with other applications and technologies. Ensures confidentiality in handling of all information, verbal and written. Ability to prioritize issues and requests. Performs follow up to ensure chart correction is performed and completed accurately.
