Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is heavily focused on project production, schedule and cost tracking. Must be located within the U.S.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with project level production, scheduling and cost tracking in the environment consulting field, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and can work independently while collaborating closely with project managers and field staff.
Responsibilities
• Assist Project Manager and Regional Accounting Managers with gathering and organizing backup documentation for tracking of field environmental projects
• Compile summary of field production data in a format that allows for comparison from planned production to actual production
• Develop financial status reports to track the cost vs production on field efforts
• Set up projects in accounting systems based on contract review and approved budgets
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate project setup and billing alignment
• Act as the interface between project managers and regional accounting managers for environmental field projects
Required Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in Business or Finance
• 3+ years of professional business experience with a strong emphasis on production and cost tracking
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
• Working knowledge of Adobe software
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Environmental Consulting and Munitions Response field projects for the federal government
Scheduling Experience using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
