About Slash

Slash is building the future of business banking, one industry at a time. We believe businesses deserve financial infrastructure tailored to how they actually operate. That's why we're creating a new category of business banking. We combine the reliability of traditional banking (high yields, competitive rewards, and comprehensive security) with industry-specific features that make businesses more efficient, more competitive, and more profitable.

Started in 2021, Slash is one of the fastest growing fintechs in the world and we power over three billion dollars a year in business purchasing across numerous industries. We're backed by some of the best investors in the world including Menlo Ventures, NEA, Y Combinator, Stanford University, and the founders of Tinder and Plaid. Slash is headquartered in San Francisco, and has a strong in-person culture.

We’re growing fast and are looking for a product-facing compliance leader to help build the regulatory infrastructure for Slash’s next phase of platform expansion.

About the Role

As Product Compliance Lead, you will report directly into the General Counsel and embed with Product and Engineering teams to support new financial capabilities from early concept through launch and scale. You will serve as the compliance owner for a defined product portfolio, helping Slash innovate responsibly while navigating complex regulatory, customer protection, and bank partner requirements as our platform evolves.

You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, regulatory interpretation, and control design, translating ambiguity into structured, scalable compliance solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the primary compliance partner to Product and Engineering for new product initiatives and platform expansions

  • Lead compliance risk assessments for new offerings, features, and partnership models

  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear product specifications and scalable control frameworks

  • Advise on BSA/AML, financial crimes, licensing/permissibility, marketing compliance, reporting obligations, conduct risk, and payment-related customer protection considerations

  • Partner with the BSA Officer and Compliance Operations to ensure new products and initiatives are appropriately risk-assessed, controlled, and integrated into Slash’s compliance program

  • Drive compliance launch readiness for new capabilities, including control validation, documentation, and stakeholder alignment

  • Design pragmatic solutions to complex regulatory constraints without slowing innovation

  • Identify structural risks early and build durable, forward-looking controls

  • Contribute to the evolution of Slash’s broader compliance strategy as the platform grows

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–8 years of experience in fintech compliance, product compliance, or regulatory advisory roles

  • Direct experience supporting new product launches within a fintech, neobank, payments company, or BaaS model

  • Strong familiarity with bank partnership models and sponsor bank oversight expectations
Experience advising on financial crimes, licensing analysis, UDAAP, complaints handling, and marketing review

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing disputes, unauthorized transactions, and funds availability

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and senior stakeholders

  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

  • Strong judgment and clear escalation instincts

You’ll Thrive Here If

  • You enjoy being early to new product ideas and helping shape them

  • You prefer building systems over maintaining legacy processes

  • You want broader ownership than a narrow product lane

  • You’re comfortable navigating gray areas and defining structure

  • You see compliance as a strategic lever — not just a control function

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a high-growth consumer fintech, neobank, or payments company

  • CAMS or similar certification

  • Experience supporting expansion into new consumer products, capabilities, or regulatory frameworks

Why Join Slash

  • High-visibility role with direct impact on company trajectory

  • Opportunity to shape compliance strategy during a major expansion phase

  • Strong product culture with real compliance partnership

  • Competitive base + meaningful equity
