Role Description

The General Casualty Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing underwriting data in order to:

• Determine if risks meet corporate underwriting standards
• Calculate appropriate premium
• Determine proper terms for acceptable risks
• Respond to brokers when risks do not meet underwriting guidelines

Underwriters are also responsible for developing and maintaining profitable business relationships with brokers.
