Role Description

Under the direction of and reporting to the Executive Director, Market Development & Organizational Transformation, the Competitive Intelligence and Market Strategy Analyst will conduct extensive research and analysis to source new business opportunities, identify market trends, evaluate competitor business strategies, and uncover patterns in internal sales operations and business development data to help ForHealth Consulting reach its short- and long-term growth goals. This is a remote position, with ability to participate in on-site team meetings as needed.

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the current market position and strategic growth plan of ForHealth Consulting overall, as well as each service line and product specifically.
  • Source new opportunities, including but not limited to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), utilizing tools such as GovWin, CommBuys, and other procurement websites.
  • Develop and manage a standard of work for the timely and accurate sourcing of opportunities (e.g., RFPs).
  • Understand the current and future intended markets of ForHealth Consulting products and identify and connect opportunities to the appropriate business unit or product owners.
  • Perform and analyze market research to understand the competitive environment for specific opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze industry news and developments and provide succinct briefings that capture observations, opportunities, risks/recommendations.
  • Develop and manage FOIA/PRR process for RFPs and leverage feedback and data related to submitted proposals.
  • Identify patterns and propose strategies by synthesizing internal and external sources of information.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence team on development of market intelligence reporting.
  • Create and run regular reports that summarize key findings related to market dynamics and insights.
  • Synthesize market research for regular executive review.
  • Work independently and in partnership with functional teams to support market and internal analysis.
  • Have responsibility across multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Develop and evolve standard work.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level degree
  • 5-7 years experience as a market research analyst, preferably in health care consulting, professional services, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying new business or growth opportunities for organizations.
  • Proven ability to bring creativity and innovation to the framing and structuring of research efforts.
  • Analytical skills to understand significant amounts of information and data.
  • Communication skills for gathering and interpreting data and presenting the results to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented in developing analyses and tracking opportunities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects for multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with individuals at multiple levels, from peers to executive leadership.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • High level of self-motivation and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience in reading and parsing RFxs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requirements

  • Experience in health care and/or human services consulting
  • A sample of market research and analysis briefings, presentations, etc.
  • Proficient in integrated business management and CRM software, including SalesForce
  • Familiarity with GovWin/Deltek
