Job Description

• The Site Safety Manager is responsible for enforcing and recommending safe work practices at the site level. • This position focuses on conducting safety inspections, training site teams on safety protocols, and investigating safety incidents. • Ensure that all personnel on the job site adhere to company safety standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with site teams to anticipate, resolve and manage site conditions for accident prevention. • Perform regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe work conditions, or equipment that does not meet safety standards. • Identify areas for improvement in site safety and make recommendations for corrective actions to site supervisors. • Deliver ongoing safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel, focusing on high-risk activities and relevant hazards. • Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents. Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure those actions are implemented. • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and any relevant local or state safety requirements. • Maintain up-to-date records of all safety-related activities, including inspections, incident reports, and safety training logs.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in occupational safety and health, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, construction safety, General Industry, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required).
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • Ability to enforce safety protocols effectively and confidently.
  • Strong and professional communication skills in situations that are sometimes confrontational.
  • Ability to train and educate site teams on safety standards.
  • Attention to detail in identifying potential hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Ability to lead and document thorough incident investigations.
  • Good organizational skills for maintaining safety records.
  • Computer skills are required.
