Are you ready to be challenged, make a difference, and experience professional growth in your career? Kleinfelder's Land Survey team is looking for you! Kleinfelder is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Michigan to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil engineering and construction inspection. This position will work remotely on projects in Michigan and report to our Perrysburg, OH office.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Surveyor with project proposals, performance reviews, survey calculations, and project research.
- Advise survey crews on surveying methods and techniques, enhancing project efficiency.
- Conduct boundary determinations and prepare accurate survey documents, including ALTA surveys and records of survey.
- Create and analyze parcel maps, water rights maps, and topographical surveys.
- Support field teams by calculating points and providing construction staking as needed.
- Collaborate with clients and team members on diverse survey projects, ensuring clear communication and quality outcomes.
- Provide project scopes, timelines, and control location recommendations to support project execution.
- Develop charts and reports to effectively communicate specific issues or discrepancies with survey data.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in project management.
- Provide support to survey crew for verifying boundary lines, and performing topographic, right-of-way, transportation, construction surveys and construction inspection as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying or a related field or substantial relevant experience in surveying.
- 5 years of comprehensive survey experience, including significant field and office work.
- Local or regional surveying experience is preferred.
- Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Michigan.
- Ability to obtain background clearances for on-site work with clients.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, and other relevant surveying software.
- Strong capability to train staff in the operation of basic survey instruments.
- Current/valid State Driver's License with demonstrated safe driving practices.
