Role Description
This position is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating room assignments, and ensuring optimal operations across assigned properties. The Rooms Controller works closely with on-property teams to uphold service standards, streamline communication, and maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage room inventory and execute daily room assignments for designated properties
- Coordinate closely with front office, housekeeping, and sales departments to ensure accurate room blocking and guest accommodation
- Monitor special requests, VIP arrivals, and group room blocks to ensure proper execution
- Analyze occupancy trends and adjust room assignments to support operational goals
- Maintain consistent communication with on-property teams and APRC leadership
- Accurately document daily activity and deliverables in internal systems
- Identify and escalate operational issues and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field required or minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a business-related role (e.g., hotel operations, inventory management, business analytics, or customer service)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity
- Flexibility to support weekend and holiday coverage as needed
