Job Description
Entity: Oracle America, Inc.
Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and six months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Write correct and maintainable code and tests in Java, Python and Shell scripts;
2. Design and implement features and subsystems based on micro-services architecture;
3. Write clear technical documentation such as functional and test specifications;
4. Write code with considerations to handling edge-cases, security, concurrency, maintainability, designing for security, availability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness ;
5. Data structures and algorithms; and
6. REST, HTML, XML, JSON and Micro services.
