Job Description
Role Description
The position reports to the Director, Workplace Relations and will be responsible for developing effective employee relations policies, processes, programs, and solutions to support business goals and foster and maintain a positive work environment. The selected candidate will provide workplace relations expertise and advice to leadership and employees and effectively manage workplace relations situations and investigations related to workplace relations and ethical concerns.
- Conduct complex investigations related to workplace relations/ethics concerns and provide support for managers to effectively resolve workplace relations matters.
- Advise and review reduction in force plans and ensure all legal requirements are met relative to employment laws including OWBPA, WARN, etc.
- Provide training, resources, tools, and templates to equip line management to independently manage basic employee relations and performance management matters.
- Support the design and implementation of the organization's workplace relations programs, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with legal to respond to external claims and agency audits (i.e., EEOC, attorney demand letter, litigation, OFCCP and other regulatory agency audits, etc.).
- Provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees in interpreting CACI policies and procedures.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and outside contacts at all levels; both in oral and written form.
- Proven track record of partnering with legal, line management and HR leaders on workplace relations matters.
- Earns the confidence and trust of others, delivers on commitments, demonstrates unwavering commitment to ethical conduct, and protects confidential information.
- Knowledge of state and Federal laws pertaining to employment and labor, as well as a deep understanding of core HR policies and processes.
- Strong analytical skills in order to interpret data necessary to identify trends and areas of risk.
- Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to train managers and employees in a collegially diverse environment, both in classroom and virtual training delivery.
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact in confrontational situations.
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiations skills, as well as ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility, adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the development of systems and tools as it relates to gathering and reporting employee relations metrics preferred.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and external best practices in order to develop workplace relations programs that foster and maintain a positive work environment.
- Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience; including 3 years of significant experience in employee relations and conducting workplace investigations.
- Experience with EEO/Affirmative Action.

- Professional certifications/designations such as PHR or SPHR.
