This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Supply Chain Management Data Specialist. This role will largely serve in a remote capacity with periodic travel as needed to support project teams. Your Impact

  • Covers jobs responsible for generating the project’s cost, time, and schedule predications to support the effective management of project budgets and timelines, as well as document control and coordination.
  • The purpose of this role is to enhance the capability of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Initiative development. The role will be responsible for assisting with the integration of technology systems into the overarching SCM strategy and initiative at WSP. Candidate will be responsible for the creation of standards for project systems and will provide field technical support and training as needed. This team member will be auditing database exports, heavily using Excel, documenting processes in Microsoft Word and Visio, and providing support functions across multiple projects. This role will be the first line of support for tasks that require Excel analysis or investigation, but that don’t require integration into Power BI or full-stack development. This organization largely prohibits AI usage (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to protect client confidentiality, so the applicant should expect no access to AI for the completion of job tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an interface for all SCM projects with regard to ad hoc analysis and system questions.
  • Regular interface with internal and external team members.
  • Support active projects with custom reporting as needed based on client demands.
  • Assist in the maintenance and auditing of Power BI dashboards in support of project requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels across projects to ensure timely delivery and maintain all metrics for performance.
  • Analyze and establish all material requirements for forecasts and assist in the generation of all reports.
  • Ensure that Supply Chain’s databases are accurate and maintain their quality and integrity via routine audits.
  • Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
  • Assume day-to-day operation of existing client dashboards and development of new tools as needed, particularly quick-response items needed for business development.
  • Store, manage, and track records and documents for the project.
  • Ensure that those documents are accurate and maintain their quality and integrity, as well as maintaining document metadata for document searchability.
  • Performs administrative duties in support of the project.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills in maintaining balance with all party’s requirements and priorities.
  • Additional duties as needed/assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in project controls or related areas.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Team members must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with an emphasis in Excel (Equations, Power Queries, VBA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organized work habits, the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities, and high attention to detail required.
  • Periodic travel to project locations will be required, up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant post education experience in project controls or related areas.
