We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Backend Engineer passionate about solving complex problems and motivated to shape the MEV landscape on Monad with high-performance solutions. In this role, you will help design, build, and optimize MEV-related infrastructure, with a focus on block building, transaction ordering, and low-latency execution strategies etc. You’ll work on systems at the intersection of blockchain, trading, and networking, helping to advance the frontier of MEV innovation. What You’ll Do Design and implement performance-critical backend systems for MEV infrastructure throughout the transaction lifecycle . Contribute to the development of infrastructure for validator-client integration, relay communication, and block propagation. Optimize code for latency, throughput, and reliability in adversarial network conditions. Stay informed about MEV developments in Ethereum, Solana, and other ecosystems What We’re Looking For 4-10 years of backend programming experience with expertise in low-level languages like C++ and Rust (experience in both is a plus, but not required). Proven backend engineering experience in MEV infrastructure, trading/searching, or block-building organizations. Experience designing production-grade, low-latency, high-performance networking architecture and distributed systems. Proven track record of technical leadership and project ownership from start to finish. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment with strong ownership. Nice to Have Familiarity with blockchain internals and validator client behavior. Contributions to open-source MEV infra or tooling projects. Experience in performance tuning and networking stack optimization. HFT experience.
