Job Title: QuadraMed Data Extraction Expert

Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a highly experienced QuadraMed Data Extraction Expert to support a critical legacy data extraction initiative as part of a broader archival, compliance, and data migration program.

This role requires deep technical expertise in the QuadraMed EHR platform, including the UltiView interface, built-in report writer tools, and native extraction utilities. The selected resource will establish the required technical infrastructure, execute validated data extractions across multiple clinical and operational domains, and ensure all extracted datasets meet healthcare compliance, audit, and archival standards.

This is a highly specialized position requiring advanced extraction expertise and in-depth knowledge of QuadraMed architecture and healthcare data structures.

Core Responsibilities

1. QuadraMed Data Extraction

• Lead large-scale structured data extractions from the QuadraMed system.

• Extract data across core domains including:

  • Patients

  • Visits

  • Clinical Results

• Utilize UltiView interface and built-in report writer tools to generate structured datasets.

• Configure and execute native QuadraMed extraction utilities.

• Validate extracted datasets for accuracy and completeness.

• Support extraction of both historical and operational clinical records.

• Ensure proper mapping of extracted elements to downstream archival or migration targets.

2. Technical Infrastructure Readiness

• Confirm access to the QuadraMed application environment.

• Validate functionality of UltiView interfaces and reporting tools.

• Ensure compatibility and access to extraction utilities.

• Confirm connectivity between application systems and extraction environments.

• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to resolve technical dependencies.

3. System Access & Tool Configuration

• Ensure application-level access to QuadraMed via UltiView.

• Verify access to report writer functionality and extraction utilities.

• Confirm read/write permissions to UNIX directories for staging output files.

• Maintain secure VPN access and network credentials.

• Coordinate access to network storage environments for interim and final datasets.

4. Data Validation & Testing

• Validate extracted patient records against source system data.

• Perform chart review validation where required.

• Review patient and visit history data for completeness.

• Validate results against audit trails and historical activity logs.

• Support end-to-end testing of extraction outputs.

5. Data Handling & Storage Management

• Manage storage capacity for interim extraction files.

• Ensure secure transfer of outputs to staging environments.

• Organize structured output files for downstream ingestion or archival.

• Monitor disk utilization during extraction processes.

• Support secure transmission to downstream systems.

6. Collaboration & Technical Coordination

• Participate in stakeholder and technical coordination meetings.

• Assist in defining extraction strategies and sequencing.

• Communicate risks, dependencies, and system limitations.

• Provide subject matter expertise on QuadraMed data structures.

• Support troubleshooting of extraction-related issues.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• Deep expertise with the QuadraMed EHR platform

• Hands-on experience using UltiView interface

• Experience using QuadraMed report writer functionality

• Experience executing QuadraMed native extraction utilities

• Experience extracting data across Patients, Visits, and Results domains

• Experience validating healthcare data extractions

• Experience working with large clinical datasets

• Experience within healthcare compliance environments

• Strong understanding of patient record structures and healthcare data relationships

Highly Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting large healthcare systems

• Experience with legacy data archival initiatives

• Experience extracting data from legacy hospital systems

• Experience supporting EHR archival or migration projects

• Experience validating datasets for compliance and audit requirements

• Experience working within hospital IT infrastructure environments
