About this Opportunity
We’re looking for a technical Software Development Manager, Web Applications, to join our engineering-fueled team. You’ll work with the latest versions of React and Node.js, scrum teams, and 4B pages to impact! You can also help further define and promote best practices for functional areas, continuous integration, automation, and coding standards.
What you’ll do:
Lead a small team of engineers with opportunities to expand your management scope
Benefit from a supportive management structure with minimal politics, where delegation and autonomy are valued
Own a significant area of the codebase and drive architectural direction
Contribute directly to spokeo.com and its millions of visitors with frequent releases and a path toward continuous deployment
Shape our development process and influence code quality standards
Work daily with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, Node.js, CSS, RSpec, Elasticsearch, and SQL
What you’ve done:
Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or gained equivalent hands-on experience
Led web application development teams for 5+ years
Guided scrum-based teams (e.g., as a scrum master, tech lead, or similar) for 1+ years
Developed full-stack applications for 5+ years using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React, Node.js, MVC/Rails, MySQL, NoSQL, and RESTful APIs
Demonstrated a passion for building collaborative teams and high-quality software through a team-first leadership approach
Exhibited excellent project management and communication skills
