Business Job Title: Key Account Manager
Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager utilizes consultative selling skills and experience to establish and grow Broan-NuTone’s top 100 distribution accounts and develop new business by utilizing a strong pull-through sales plan. This role will be responsible for the sales of a diverse group of products, Building Material Distributors, and showrooms throughout a specified territory. Additionally, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing channel relationships with Distributors to maintain a superior working relationship between Broan-NuTone and its Distributors.
Job Responsibilities:
Own total territory revenue and drive execution of sales objectives
Conduct regular product sales training and update meetings to Distributors to share construction trends, code changes and building practices.
Drive business growth by making decisions based on analytics and provide visibility to Key Stakeholders and Segment teams
Maintain and Build Distributor relationships by identifying and understanding the Distributors market position and entire supply chain to identify the Distributors potential opportunity to Broan-NuTone.
Develop and execute revenue growth strategies aimed at growing Broan-NuTone's market share within the Distributor accounts by meeting and visiting Distributors to regularly promote al products to confirm stocked products, grow shelf space, correct inventory issues, and identify opportunities to offer upgraded solutions to Distributors and their Customers.
Work with Distributors to determine the right pricing to win in the marketplace.
Unlock new opportunities by being the Distributor’s information source on building codes.
Establish pull-through relationships with Bid/Spec groups to promote Broan-NuTone.
Properly refers and/or assists in resolution of service, warranty, and credit information issues on behalf of Broan-NuTone to insure the timely processing of customer orders.
Develops and maintains a base of knowledge of all competitors and interacts with all Broan-NuTone departments relative to this knowledge, as appropriate.
Maintain records and submits reports as required. Those include monthly territory report out, use of Salesforce.com, customer correspondence, expense, and mileage management.
Provides regular input for use in preparing annual sales and expense budgets.
Represent Broan-NuTone at select regional or national trade shows as needed.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and positive attitude.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or equivalent experience.
Up to 5 years of previous field sales experience – ideally in a Construction sales organization.
Excellent people skills; effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
Strong administrative skills (i.e., salesforce.com, excel, word, power-point, mapping software).
Have and maintain a valid issued driver’s license.
Strong business acumen and proven experience calling on Distributors using a consultative and goal-oriented sales approach.
Have an entrepreneurial owner’s mindset by being a self-starter and having a strong work ethic, love of sales, and the drive to get out in the field and support existing business and/or pursue new business daily.
Highly motivated, disciplined, organized and detail oriented that fosters an understanding of and adherence to sales processes and policies.
Excellent people skills; effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Relentless positive attitude and willingness to help.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to spend 75% of daily activity in the field - this includes job-site visits.
Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time to visit customers and Broan events.
Ability to work remotely, with much of your time in the field.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. periodically.
