Role Description

Stefanutti Stocks Inland is looking for an experienced and results-driven Plant Agent to manage and control all plant, equipment, and fleet operations within our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal plant performance, cost control, maintenance management, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Trade Test (Diesel Mech)

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in plant management within the Construction Industry
  • Experience working on Civil, roads or infrastructure projects will be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of heavy construction plant and earthmoving equipment
  • Excellent maintenance planning and asset management skills
  • Budget control and cost management experience
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Sound understanding of construction project operations
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, plant management systems)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Key Duties Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all plant and equipment operations across sites
  • Coordinate plant allocation according to project requirements
  • Control plant maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime
  • Monitor plant utilization and cost efficiency
  • Ensure statutory compliance, licensing, and inspections
  • Manage plant procurement, disposal, and hire agreements
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Supervise plant personnel and workshop staff
  • Maintain accurate plant records and reporting systems
  • Ensure adherence to OHSA and company safety standards
