Role Description
This is a high-impact, technically sophisticated role for an experienced cloud engineer passionate about building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and CI/CD pipelines that support distributed engineering teams across multiple regions. The role involves leveraging infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and observability tools to enhance platform reliability, security, and developer experience.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and legacy CloudFormation/CDK frameworks
- Manage containerized workloads and orchestrate services on EKS, ECS, and other AWS services
- Lead the migration of legacy pipelines to modern CI/CD solutions, utilizing GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog or CloudWatch
- Promote GitOps principles and infrastructure-as-code practices across engineering teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategy and operational best practices
- Document designs, processes, and decisions, while mentoring peers and supporting knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and CDK
- 4+ years orchestrating containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and associated tools (ArgoCD, Istio)
- 4+ years managing CI/CD frameworks in distributed engineering organizations using GitHub Actions
- Strong programming skills in Python, Node.js, or GoLang
- Proven ability to design cost-efficient, secure, and scalable cloud solutions leveraging AWS services (EC2, Lambda, Fargate, CloudFront, IAM, Route53, DynamoDB)
- Experience configuring and managing observability platforms in large-scale distributed environments
- Knowledge of incident response practices, resilience engineering, and blameless post-mortems
- Strong communication, documentation, and mentorship skills; ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
