Role Description
This position will oversee the tracking and maintenance of the managed care contracts and/or AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM), and AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (AMPM). Providing support to the Contracts and Policy Administrator, Policy Manager, three Deputy Assistant Directors and one Assistant Director within the division, researching complex and/or participating on special work groups and coordinating the efforts of numerous staff across multiple divisions.
- Lead the drafting, revisions, and maintenance of policy language, ensuring consistency with agency goals, legislative mandates, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of contract and policy changes, assessing their impact on agency operations and ensuring alignment with overarching agency objectives.
- Work closely with executive leadership, legal, and various program managers to ensure all policy provisions reflect agency priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Lead the drafting, revisions, and maintenance of contract language, ensuring consistency with agency goals, legislative mandates, and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and ensure accuracy for all Contract Amendments and Renewals.
- Monitor and track to provide a clear understanding related to the revision process through an overarching tracking system.
- Ensure that the Agency is meeting CMS requirements related to the Managed Care Contracts.
- Manage ad hoc administrative projects that may involve researching laws, statutes, rules or other federal, state or local guidance.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in a regulatory environment, and experience with Medicaid managed care contracting.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or direct experience (2-4 years) in a healthcare environment (preferred).
Requirements
- Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks.
- Travel may be required for State business.
- Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training and have an acceptable driving record.
- All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
