This role involves supporting pharmacists in preparing specialty prescription medications and handling a variety of operational assignments. You will be integral to ensuring that all processes are followed to enhance health outcomes. With some autonomy in prioritizing your tasks and working under minimal supervision, your critical thinking and communication skills will be essential in liaising with patients and healthcare providers. Your contributions will help streamline operations and improve the overall efficiency of the pharmacy's services.

  • Support pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of specialty Rx medications.
  • Perform varied administrative and operational customer support assignments.
  • Conduct computations and ensure adherence to operational processes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Contact physicians for prescription clarifications as needed.
  • Enter prescription orders into the system accurately.

Qualifications

  • Active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on established policies.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations and medication management.
