Role Description
Healthcare Assistants placed through us typically support patient-facing and administrative workflows for U.S.-based medical practices. While the day-to-day varies by client, core responsibilities commonly include:
- Managing patient onboarding workflows, including consent forms and documentation.
- Completing welcome calls and follow-ups with patients and families.
- Verifying insurance eligibility and coordinating scheduling readiness.
- Maintaining accurate patient trackers and status logs.
- Escalating issues promptly when documentation or coverage is incomplete.
- Providing professional, empathetic customer service in all patient interactions.
- Identifying workflow gaps and proactively suggesting improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Experience in healthcare administration, medical office support, or medical assisting.
- Strong customer service experience with a professional, empathetic phone manner.
- Proactive and self-directed; able to work independently without relying solely on instructions.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage high volume and competing priorities.
- Comfort verifying insurance eligibility and navigating healthcare workflows.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt as you go.
Requirements
- Tools You May Use: Depending on the client, you may work with EMR/EHR systems (such as eClinicalWorks, Tebra, or similar), Adobe Sign or other e-signature tools, insurance payer portals, and spreadsheets for patient tracking.
Hours and Pay
- Location: Fully Remote (Contractor Basis)
- Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time. Must be available within 8 AM – 6 PM in EST, CST or PST.
- Pay Range: $800 – $1,300 per month, depending on experience
- Equipment: BYO devices (we provide necessary software)
