Job Description
Role Description
The Junior Project Controls Invoice Review Specialist professional is responsible for supporting invoice reviews across capital and operational projects. Works under close supervision to process invoices to meet desired approval timeframes utilizing an in-house Project Management Information System.
- Review and validate invoices for accuracy, contract compliance, and supporting documentation prior to approval
- Coordinate with client staff to process invoices within defined approval timeframes
- Support the month-end close
- Interfaces with project controls staff and managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to gather cost and schedule inputs
- Supports internal coordination between cost and scheduling teams
- Communicates status updates clearly and on time to supervisors and team members
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
- 0+ years of experience supporting cost, schedule, or project management efforts in a construction, engineering, or consulting environment preferred
- Familiarity with software such as Adobe Acrobat, Revu Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Project Management Information Systems (e.g., PMWeb or Trimble) are preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
- Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form
