Job Description

About the Company

Side is a global video game development and services provider, offering technical and creative solutions to many of the largest developers and studios around the world. Founded in 2009 and drawing on 30+ years' experience from our parent company in Japan, Side has since grown to become a global force with 15+ studios in over a dozen countries across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia.

Our industry-leading services include game development, art production, audio production, quality assurance, localization, localization QA, player support, community management, and datasets.

About the Role

As a Technical Sourcer (Western Hemisphere), you will support Side’s global gaming & codev hiring efforts with a primary focus on LATAM, Canada and US Regions. This is a fully remote, contract-based role designed for a sourcing specialist rather than a full-cycle recruiter.

You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and screening technical game development talent across a wide range of disciplines, before handing qualified candidates off to the recruiting team for full lifecycle management. If you are highly skilled at precision sourcing, talent mapping, and early-stage technical screening within the games industry, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sourcing & Talent Mapping

  • Proactively source game development talent across AMERICAS and LATAM regions
  • Build and maintain pipelines across the full spectrum of game development roles, including:
    • Engineering (gameplay, engine, tools, UI, AI, etc.)
    • Art (character, environment, concept, VFX, technical art)
    • Animation and Technical Animation
    • Game Design (systems, level, narrative, UX)
    • Production and other specialized disciplines
  • Execute advanced Boolean searches and targeted sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, ATS platforms, portfolios, and online communities
  • Identify and engage passive candidates aligned with Side’s co-development and studio support needs

Screening & Candidate Qualification

  • Conduct initial candidate screening to assess technical alignment, experience, availability, and interest
  • Evaluate candidate fit against role requirements prior to handoff
  • Prepare clear, structured candidate summaries for recruiter handoff
  • Ensure a smooth transition of qualified candidates into the recruitment process

Pipeline Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Track, update, and maintain candidate records accurately and on time within internal systems
  • Partner closely with recruiters to prioritize pipelines based on project timelines and hiring demand

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with recruiters to understand role requirements, technical nuances, and hiring priorities
  • Provide insights on regional talent availability, market conditions, and sourcing challenges across North Americas and Latin America
  • Support hiring strategy through proactive sourcing recommendations

Market Intelligence & Process

  • Monitor hiring trends, talent movement, and regional nuances within local gaming markets
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing strategies, tools, and documentation
  • Ensure a professional, inclusive, and compliant candidate outreach experience
