Job Description

• Perform generator inspections at customers’ sites domestically and internationally with the aid of robotic tools that can access locations inside of the generator that humans cannot • provide GE and GE’s customers with diagnostic data and critical information that enables equipment owners to make business critical decisions about operation, maintenance, repair, or replacement of their equipment • work closely with onsite field engineers, off site engineering support team and subject matter experts to review, analyze and disposition the results of the inspections • interpret and follow technical instructions and procedures

Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma, GED, or similar educational equivalent or two years of relevant experience
  • Power Industry or Remote Inspection Experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • 18 years old or older
  • availability to travel and work globally on short notice up to 80% of the time, and for extended periods of time, including weekends and holidays
  • meet requirements to obtain unescorted access at nuclear sites and any other site or country access requirements.
  • ability and willingness to work rotating shifts
  • ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to work at heights of 20 to 30 feet
  • ability to work in cramped, awkward positions for short periods of time
