Job Description
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management as a practice or specialty OR procurement as a practice or specialty
- Excellent written communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Support Central; familiarity with Acrobat Professional to create / modify PDF files
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects and think strategically
- Strong oral / written communication skills and organization skills
- Work well in a team environment, support process improvement projects; able to be calm, open, and inclusive in dynamic and stressful situations
- Familiarity with nuclear (e.g., NRC) regulations, integrity, safety, security, and quality assurance culture
- Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
- Familiarity with a variety of configurable commercial off the shelf (COTS) configuration, document, and requirements management solutions (e.g., Oracle ERP, Documentum, Support-Central Tool Suite, ENOVIA, DOORS Next)
- CM experience in a highly-regulated industry, the nuclear industry, at a national laboratory, or a governmental agency
- Records management experience and CM or quality assurance experience in construction, manufacturing, operations, or engineering process requirements documents (e.g., plans, procedures, instructions, guide, training manuals)
- Self-starter with energy, positive “Can-Do” attitude able to energize others with legacy of delivering on commitments and stretch goals with proven track record of accomplishments in a fast paced environment producing quality deliverables
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Inclusive professional style – Adaptive, able to quickly learn diverse and varying organizational interfaces (e.g., cross-functional, across business within same company, across different companies including customer, partners, and suppliers, regulator, third party auditors)
- Change agent with continuous improvement “mindset”
- Ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process with working knowledge, expertise, and experience using LEAN continuous process improvement define, measure, analyze, improve, and control techniques and tools
- Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects
- Experience with GE documentation systems, practices, and requirements
