Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer to lead our infrastructure automation, software configuration, and cloud deployments. In this role, you will be the primary expert driving our IBM Cloud architecture and integrating IBM watsonx solutions into our development lifecycle.
- Lead the end-to-end configuration, installation, and management of DevOps software and toolchains.
- Architect, provision, and optimize secure cloud configurations specifically within IBM Cloud environments.
- Deploy, integrate, and maintain IBM watsonx platforms (such as watsonx.ai or watsonx.data) to support advanced data and AI initiatives.
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure updates.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible to ensure scalable and repeatable cloud environments.
- Manage containerized applications and orchestration using Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex deployment issues, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of demonstrated experience in Cloud Computing and DevOps engineering.
- 3+ years of recent, hands-on experience specifically with IBM Cloud architecture and IBM watsonx deployments.
- Strong expertise in configuring and installing modern DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
- Deep knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system reliability and performance optimization.
