Role Description

This role involves ensuring the quality of our technology stack as a Junior QA Engineer. You will play a crucial part in performing foundational testing tasks under the guidance of senior QA members.

  • Ownership of core manual testing tasks, including writing and executing basic manual test cases
  • Performing manual regression testing
  • Meticulously documenting test execution, bugs, and contributing to process documentation
  • Collaborate with Senior QA Engineers or product owners to create and update test cases in TestRail for new features and releases
  • Assist with exploratory testing on new and existing features, especially regarding partner site testing
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the software, identify bugs, and document them in the bug tracking system
  • Communicate test results and findings to stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and issues
  • Learn and experiment with new testing methodologies, automation concepts (e.g., Playwright), and AI-assisted tools for test planning
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and QA syncs, providing regular updates on testing progress and issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to think logically and determine test cases from a project description
  • Ability to learn and apply new testing methodologies and tools
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Basic understanding and ability to write code in TypeScript
  • No formal QA experience is required, but you must be technically curious, eager to learn, and excited to grow

Requirements

  • Familiarity with manual testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Experience developing with Python and Typescript
  • Enthusiasm for learning test automation concepts and frameworks (e.g., Playwright)
  • Interest in experimenting with AI tools for test planning and productivity
