Role Description
We are seeking a Senior-Level Epic Certified BI Developer to support the Maimonides Go-Live project. The ideal candidate will have strong Epic certification(s) along with advanced experience in Tableau and/or Power BI.
- This role focuses on Epic reporting, analytics development, dashboard design, and enterprise clinical systems optimization.
Qualifications
- Epic Certification (Clinical or Rev Cycle)
- 2–5 years of Epic EMR experience
- Experience working with enterprise clinical systems
- Experience gathering and managing business/clinical requirements
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and risk mitigation
Requirements
- Epic Certified in Clinical or Revenue Cycle (both strongly preferred)
- Build report templates using RWB Admin tools
- Create and search criteria, networked criteria, dynamic parameters, and custom logic
- Develop new PAF columns (including networked columns)
- Create advanced criteria/columns using properties and extensions
- Develop summaries, graphs, functions, and subgroup reports
- Create explorations and saved report views
- Build Radar Dashboards and link components, resources, and metrics
- Pass parameters/filters from reports or SlicerDicer models to components
- Personalize dashboards and views
- Create SQL metrics and perform backfills
- Develop SlicerDicer sessions using Populations, Slices, Measures, and filters
- Expert-level understanding of Epic domain build and workflows
- Proficient in Tableau or Power BI (both preferred)
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations
- Apply appropriate charting standards and data storytelling techniques
- Strong understanding of UX principles and cognitive load optimization
- Implement security and permission frameworks
- Experience aligning dashboards with Epic workflows and domains

- Analyze and document business and clinical requirements
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and translate needs into technical specifications
- Create data models, flowcharts, and requirement documentation
- Define interfaces, constraints, and non-functional requirements
- Partner with project managers to manage scope and timelines
- Support UAT and production deployments
- Perform application support and issue resolution
- Develop test plans, release documentation, and training materials
- Lead meetings and workgroups
- Mentor junior analysts (Level I & II)
- Drive process improvement initiatives
- Support change management and version control
Education Requirements
- One of the following:
- Master’s degree + 2 years relevant experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree + 5 years relevant experience
- OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical background (preferred)
- At least 2 full life-cycle implementations
- Specialty certifications
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
