Role Description

This position is responsible for leading, overseeing, and completing all engineering aspects of major capital projects related to the design, development, and execution of natural gas facilities.

• Coordinate with project team members and third-party contract resources to effectively oversee design related investments and improvements.
• Work independently to complete tasks and ensure other team members are on track.
• Utilize various programs to track design progress, size equipment, order material, and report to management on significant variances in estimated budget and/or schedules.
• Perform engineering tasks and projects by relying on established guidelines and specifications.
• May be assigned to structured training program designed to provide interdisciplinary experience.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and business ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering (or a relevant engineering discipline) from an ABET – Accredited Engineering Program
• 8 years of experience in design engineering or a related field
• Valid driver’s license and insurability
• Ability to work in both an open office environment as well as outside in varied weather conditions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Well organized, strong problem-solving skills, highly analytical and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and produce results under tight deadlines
• Strong focus on safe work practices
• Experience in a mentoring, coaching, and/or training role
• Knowledge of Federal regulations and Industry standards including CFR DOT 192, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L, ANSI B16.5, MSS SP-75, AGA Reports, etc.
• Experience with software tools for compressor performance and sizing
• Experience in the design and construction of natural gas compression facilities

• Ability to understand and apply directions, policies, procedures, guidelines, specifications, standards, requirements, and Federal/State/Local regulations
• Ability to work and collaborate with others throughout the organization
• Ability to provide direction to others
• Experience with material components of natural gas pipeline systems
• Experience with building specifications and descriptions to vendors for soliciting quotes for compression related equipment
