Job Description
Role Description
This position is responsible for leading, overseeing, and completing all engineering aspects of major capital projects related to the design, development, and execution of natural gas facilities.
- Coordinate with project team members and third-party contract resources to effectively oversee design related investments and improvements.
- Work independently to complete tasks and ensure other team members are on track.
- Utilize various programs to track design progress, size equipment, order material, and report to management on significant variances in estimated budget and/or schedules.
- Perform engineering tasks and projects by relying on established guidelines and specifications.
- May be assigned to structured training program designed to provide interdisciplinary experience.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and business ethics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering (or a relevant engineering discipline) from an ABET – Accredited Engineering Program
- 8 years of experience in design engineering or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and insurability
- Ability to work in both an open office environment as well as outside in varied weather conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Well organized, strong problem-solving skills, highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and produce results under tight deadlines
- Strong focus on safe work practices
- Experience in a mentoring, coaching, and/or training role
- Knowledge of Federal regulations and Industry standards including CFR DOT 192, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L, ANSI B16.5, MSS SP-75, AGA Reports, etc.
- Experience with software tools for compressor performance and sizing
- Experience in the design and construction of natural gas compression facilities
