Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Imaging Clinical Analyst to support enterprise imaging initiatives for a major healthcare client. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in medical imaging systems, imaging workflows, PACS administration, and clinical operations within large health systems. This role will support imaging workflow assessments, future-state design, system configuration, integration, and end-user readiness for go-live.
- Provide advanced subject-matter expertise across imaging systems, including PACS, RIS (Radiant), VNAs, image viewers, AI tools, and post-processing applications.
- Develop and document future-state imaging workflows, training materials, and reference guides.
- Educate, train, and support end users (radiologists, technologists, cardiologists, and referring providers) in the new imaging environment.
- Perform DICOM integration, routing configuration, workflow troubleshooting, and dataflow analysis.
- Support modality configuration and communication with PACS, VNA, routers, and imaging platforms.
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, imaging, and vendor teams to ensure workflow optimization and operational readiness.
- Participate in project planning, Agile ceremonies, and implementation activities.
- Provide go-live support on-site for a two-week duration.
- Maintain a professional, collegial, service-oriented approach with clients and project teams.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of PACS, Radiology Information Systems, and imaging applications.
- PACS Experience (preferred vendors): Sectra, Visage, Philips (Vue/iSite/Intellispace), GE, Merge/Merative/IBM, Agfa, Fuji, Hologic, Siemens.
- Hands-on experience with Vendor Neutral Archives (VNA) including: Hyland/ACUO, Mach7, Fuji/TeraMedica, Agfa, Canon.
- Familiarity with universal viewers such as eUnity, NilRead, Visage, Sectra.
- Experience with study worklists, dictation, and reporting platforms including: Nuance PowerScribe 360 & One, 3M M*Modal, Candelis, Nuance WFO, PCC, mPower, Primordial.
- Understanding of discrepancy and critical results reporting processes.
- Familiarity with imaging applications such as: GE Advantage Windows, TeraRecon, MedisSuite, RAPID, Syngo.Via, Arterys, HeartFlow, Icometrix, Vitrea, Vital Images, Aidoc, Viz.AI.
- Strong understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE profiles, and imaging dataflow design.
- Experience with DICOM routers (e.g., DICOM Systems, ACUO, Hyland, Laurel Bridge, Candelis, Data First).
- Proven experience sending/receiving DICOM between PACS, VNAs, and modalities.
- Familiarity with imaging workflows across radiology, cardiology, POCUS, digital pathology, ophthalmology.
- Experience with image-sharing platforms including PowerShare, lifeIMAGE, AMBRA, PocketHealth.
Requirements
- Former PACS Administrator.
- Active or prior ARRT technologist credential.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Imaging Informatics, or related field.
- Experience in major health systems (AMC, IDN) or leading imaging vendors.
- Active participation in SIIM, HIMSS, or similar industry groups.
- CIIP certification (ABII/SIIM) strongly preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily remote work (<25% travel).
- Required on-site presence during go-live (two weeks).
- Ability to stand for long periods during implementation and activation events.
