Job Description

About the Role

The Engineer is responsible for supporting detailed engineering development across multiple retail and commercial programs. The Engineer ensures drawings, BOMs, and technical requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with program needs. This role requires strong project management discipline, consistent communication, and the ability to manage workstreams that may require off‑hours coordination due to China-based engineering workflows. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Collaborate with Project Management, Estimating, Manufacturing, and Account teams to ensure technical alignment.

  • Maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders, including off‑hours coordination as required.

Technical Problem Solving & Execution

  • Evaluate materials, construction methods, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide value engineering options where appropriate.
  • Support prototype reviews, shop questions, and manufacturing handoff activities.
  • Ensure adherence to idX engineering standards and documentation protocols.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain organized engineering files, revisions, and supporting data.
  • Document changes, clarifications, and decisions for internal and China teams.
  • Support final engineering package releases and production turnover requirements.
