Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Supply Chain & Operations Consultant to support a leading manufacturing client in driving performance improvement initiatives across supply chain and operational functions. The ideal candidate brings strong project management expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and proven experience in business process mapping to optimize end-to-end performance and cost structures. 

In addition to leading transformation initiatives, the consultant will actively support day-to-day operational activities when required. This role requires a hands-on, independent professional who can operate at both the strategic and executional levels, delivering measurable, data-driven business impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead supply chain and operations improvement projects from assessment through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Conduct end-to-end business process mapping and process diagnostics to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and cost optimization opportunities. 
  • Develop current-state and target-state process models, including clear governance and accountability structures. 
  • Identify performance gaps and cost optimization levers across planning, procurement, inventory management, production coordination, and logistics. 
  • Drive structured project management activities including planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, logistics, planning, finance) to enhance operational performance and cost efficiency. 
  • Provide hands-on operational support when required, contributing directly to performance analysis, issue resolution, and implementation of corrective actions. 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of KPIs and operational data to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Identify and implement best practices, digital tools, and process enhancements to improve supply chain and operational effectiveness. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. 
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in supply chain or operations consulting, or senior operational roles within manufacturing. 
  • Proven experience in business process mapping, process re-design, and operating model definition. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, structure problems, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. 
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable performance and cost optimization initiatives. 
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, governance, risk management, and reporting. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing at senior levels. 

Preferred 

  • Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2) or supply chain (CSCP, CPIM). 
  • Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Signavio, ARIS, or similar). 
  • Exposure to ERP systems, digital supply chain tools, or advanced analytics solutions.
