Role Description
This role involves managing the operational aspects of our Natural Gas Program for utility clients across the country.
- Tracking deliverables and creating management strategies
- Monitoring contract milestones through performance reports
- Overseeing the pole attachment application process
- Preparing client proposals and issuing formal notices
- Generating billing documents and addressing contract compliance issues
- Staying informed about policy changes and presenting updates to senior leadership
- Coordinating tasks and setting priorities
- Mentoring staff and guiding the Departmental leadership team
- Managing employees across Orbital’s nationwide natural gas engineering and operations programs
- Handling engineering, calculations, inspections, designs, and operational support for natural gas projects
- Supporting GIS data analysis, preparing notifications, work orders, invoices, and financial reports using ERP software
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in natural gas program management or gas utility design experience
- At least five years’ experience in a relevant leadership role
- Experience with analyzing data, financial reporting, data inventory management, and program auditing (e.g., Excel)
- Ability to negotiate and develop relationships with contracting parties
- Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, including complex projects and competing priorities
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead staff and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated experience in business development and expanding the client base
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications

- This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations
- Subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment
