Role Description
How you’ll make an impact in this role:
- Adapt to varied facility workflows, EHRs, and service lines with minimal training.
- Support new CDS onboarding, short-term training, and regional initiatives when not deployed for coverage.
- Assist leadership with CDI best practice implementation during transitions/expansion.
- Perform compliant query generation to clarify documentation impacting coding, severity, quality, and reimbursement.
- Quickly acclimate to local workflows, EHRs (Epic, Cerner), and CDI software (3M, Iodine, Nuance).
Qualifications
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Clinical Documentation Prof. credentialed from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
