Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport materials to designated locations on construction sites.
  • Load and unload construction materials from trucks and deliveries.
  • Assist with staging materials for various trades and subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
  • Follow project plans and supervisor instructions for material placement and movement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Communicate clearly with site supervisors and team members to coordinate movement and delivery of supplies.
  • Ensure all loads are secure and balanced to prevent accidents or damage.
  • Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other general labor duties as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • Valid forklift operator certification
  • Strong understanding of forklift operation safety procedures.
  • Ability to read site maps and material layout drawings is a plus.
  • Solid communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating forklifts in a construction, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Experience on commercial construction sites preferred.
