Job Summary:
iLynx is seeking a highly skilled HRIS Technical Consultant with deep expertise in Infor HRIS / Lawson S3 to support a Federal Agency Human Resources Information System environment serving the U.S. Congress.
This role will provide technical development, system enhancements, and lifecycle support for the agency’s HRIS platform supporting HR, payroll, benefits administration, reporting, and employee self-service systems.
The consultant will work closely with technical teams, HR functional stakeholders, and system administrators to design, develop, test, and implement system modifications driven by evolving business needs and federal legislative requirements.
This role may be performed primarily remotely, with occasional onsite coordination as required by the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance custom functionality within the Infor HRIS (Lawson S3) platform.
- Develop and maintain custom web-based applications supporting HR, payroll, leave management, and employee self-service capabilities.
- Create and modify Lawson 4GL programs, reports, and integrations to support HR and payroll operations.
- Implement system updates and legislative enhancements driven by federal regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain XML-based reporting outputs for regulatory and operational reporting.
- Create and modify reporting solutions using: Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI) and Crystal Reports
- Other enterprise reporting tools
- Design and maintain automated data extracts and reporting processes supporting HR operations and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom programs, integrations, and system workflows.
- Support integration across HR, payroll, benefits, and financial modules.
- Provide technical support for Employee Self Service (ESS) and Manager Self Service (MSS) platforms.
- Review existing system customizations and recommend performance and functionality improvements.
- Ensure web-based HR applications operate correctly across supported browsers and platforms.
- Support the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures for system enhancements.
- Perform data validation, system testing, and implementation support for system updates.
- Assist with deployment and migration of system changes across environments.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience with Infor HRIS / Lawson S3
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with Infor HRIS / Lawson S3 (version 10.x or similar).
- Strong expertise in Lawson 4GL development and customization.
- Experience developing applications using: XML, JavaScript, C#, HTML, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience with: Infor Design Studio, Process Flow / Infor Process Automation (IPA), and Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI)
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases and HRIS data structures.
- Experience supporting Employee Self Service (ESS) and Manager Self Service (MSS) modules.
- Proven ability to analyze existing customizations and implement system enhancements.
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting public sector or federal government HR systems.
- Knowledge of federal HR, payroll, and benefits administration requirements.
- Experience implementing legislative compliance updates within HR systems.
- Familiarity with Infor OS and enterprise integration frameworks.
- Experience building custom HR workflows such as: Leave management, Overtime calculations, and Payroll reporting.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise HR environments.
