This role in summary
The Field Service Manager will oversee approximately 25 accounts across the Northwest U.S. and Western Canada, requiring deep technical expertise in commercial laundry equipment and a 50% travel commitment. This remote role involves training distributor technicians, managing quality resolutions, and applying strategic problem-solving to maintain strong customer-supplier relationships. Candidates must be self-starters residing in or willing to relocate to the region to succeed in this fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Your responsibilities will include
- Technical Training: Educate technicians on commercial laundry products and conduct ride-alongs to provide hands-on feedback.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to resolve issues and execute strategies.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose technical issues and manage quality resolutions for customers.
- Process Improvement: Drive lean learning processes to ensure fast, efficient execution of service goals.
- Customer Excellence: Develop and maintain best-in-class service standards for all accounts.
- Communication: Utilize excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for both written and verbal reporting.
- Autonomous Teamwork: Work supportively within a team environment while requiring minimal direct supervision.
Minimum requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial laundry products
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and use diagnostic tools on high-voltage and gas systems
- Core Competencies: Proven interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to think independently and manage complex processes with high attention to detail
Preferred skills and experiences
- Advanced Diagnostics: Expert proficiency with multimeters and manometers to troubleshoot high-voltage and gas-powered systems.
- Schematic Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret complex technical diagrams to identify root causes and ensure equipment safety.
- Process Improvement: Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, and Project Management methodologies to drive operational efficiency.
- Training & Facilitation: Superior presentation skills for delivering technical training via e-learning or in-person sessions to all employee levels.
- Strategic Execution: Strong ability to manage project scope and risks while leading teams through change management processes.
Compensation Data
Compensation: $54,950 - $109,900 + Annual Bonus
