Role Description
Charity Navigator is seeking a versatile and proactive Digital Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will report to the Vice President of Digital Marketing.
This role requires a creative thinker with a passion for marketing, excellent writing skills, and data analysis and SEO principles. The Digital Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and increase audience engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging and informative video and digital content for various marketing channels, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and marketing collateral.
- Research customer data and insights to help create compelling content that resonates with our target audiences.
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO, incorporating relevant keywords, AI insights and best practices to improve organic search rankings.
- Utilize generative AI tools to streamline drafting, ideation, and asset variation while maintaining brand voice.
- Assist in developing segmentation strategies and personalized donor journeys based on user behavior and giving history to increase retention.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Create and edit content using WordPress, Elementor.
- Create visually appealing digital assets, including banners, ads, and infographics.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, develop testing strategies, and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Generate regular reports on marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, conversion rates, email open rates, and engagement.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or related roles; OR 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency using WordPress (Elementor Editor), Adobe Experience Manager, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling and error-free content.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics 4, Canva, CapCut/Adobe Premier.
- AI literacy - the ability to use generative tools to scale content without losing the human touch.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative thinking and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and technologies.

- Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
