Role Description

The PRN RN is administratively and clinically responsible to the TST Senior Manager. The PRN RN delivers nursing consultation and referrals in a team setting to caregivers of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or autism.

  • Team meetings are held via videoconferencing and telephone.
  • Responsible for gathering and communicating information and resources to assist with medically relevant issues and concerns.
  • Documentation is minimal and completed in compliance with Texana policies and procedures.
  • No direct client care is required.
  • Works a flexible schedule (agreed upon by PRN RN and Senior Manager) that meets the needs of the Transition Support Team.
  • Duties and hours of coverage may change as program needs change.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a college/university accredited by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners with at least an associate degree in nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Twelve months of experience as a practicing registered nurse in a recognized hospital, health agency, or health-care facility.

Requirements

  • Previous work experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
