Role Description
This role involves designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge development programs that build competence and confidence in associates.
- Create simple, relevant, and effective learning experiences for associates.
- Design learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other learning design deliverables.
- Develop learning solutions using project-based templates.
- Test and debug deliverables for quality assurance.
- Ensure learning solutions align with desired outcomes.
- Partner with Learning Strategy Senior Managers on confirming needs analysis and instructional strategy.
- Know standard eLearning development tools and software (Articulate Storyline and Presenter, Adobe Captivate).
- Proactively communicate task and project status to client group and management.
- Assist in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of contractors and associates.
Qualifications
- Passionate about development with advanced experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Track record of finding innovative approaches to develop people and creating learning solutions.
- Experience working on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile Learning Development or the Successive Approximation Model (SAM).
- Self-driven, collaborative, resourceful, and excellent at project management.
- Experience coaching and mentoring other Instructional Designers.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable using technology (WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Benefits

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, HR Development, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology or related field preferred (or equivalent Home Depot experience).
- Experience in learning field or similar work experience.
- Experience creating training deliverables for retail organizations.
Minimum Education
- Completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Minimum Years of Work Experience
- 3 years.
Competencies
- Proficient knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories.
- Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office and standard eLearning development tools.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles and MS Project.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Salary Information
The pay range for this position is between $60,000 - $90,000 for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington residents.
