Role Description
We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Business Development leader to source, pursue, and secure new golf course growth opportunities across a defined U.S. region. This role is responsible for originating and advancing acquisition targets, leased course opportunities, and managed course agreements, working closely with internal operations and leadership to grow our national footprint.
- Proactively identify and source new golf course opportunities, including:
- Independently owned golf courses
- Leased and management contract opportunities
- Build and maintain a regional pipeline of active and prospective deals across public and private ownership groups.
- Develop strong relationships with golf course owners and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations, finance and leadership to support underwriting and financial modeling.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact through negotiation and award.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership to:
- Advance deals from initial outreach through LOI, contract execution, and handoff to operations.
- Track regional market activity, competitor presence, and upcoming opportunities.
- Provide feedback on pricing, fee structures, and contract trends.
- Support refinement of the company’s regional and national growth strategy.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ Years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or acquisitions.
- Strong preference for experience in golf, hospitality, entertainment, recreation, real estate, or municipal services.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and supporting the closing of complex, relationship-based deals.
- Experience responding to or managing municipal RFPs strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a regional, field-based role.
- Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
