Role Description

This role sits at the intersection of eCommerce, regulatory compliance, and market expansion, providing an exciting opportunity to scale digital marketplaces in regulated categories.

  • Lead strategic partnerships with third-party eCommerce platforms.
  • Navigate complex state-by-state regulations.
  • Develop scalable, compliant strategies to expand consumer access nationwide.
  • Optimize platform performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Shape marketplace strategy while ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Make measurable impact and influence the future of regulated digital commerce.
  • Develop and execute eCommerce marketplace strategies to maintain and expand consumer access in regulated markets.
  • Navigate complex state-by-state regulations, identifying legal workarounds and scaling compliant solutions.
  • Manage and grow strategic partnerships with third-party platforms such as GoPuff and DoorDash.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align marketplace initiatives.
  • Monitor platform performance, provide regular updates, and deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analyze competitive trends and regulatory changes to inform innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead testing and iteration of new eCommerce approaches, ensuring scalable, compliant, and revenue-driving outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, or marketplace management, with at least 2 years in a lead capacity.
  • 2+ years of experience in regulated industries (alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, or D9 THC) with practical understanding of compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience managing third-party eCommerce platforms or retail partnerships (GoPuff, DoorDash, Instacart, Minibar, Amazon, etc.).
  • Strong commercial skills, including pricing, promotions, margin management, and state-level compliance considerations.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for pricing, catalog, and performance reporting.
  • Strategic problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate regulatory complexity and ambiguity.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.

  • Nice-to-haves: familiarity with beverage distribution models, post-sale SaaS experience, analytics tools, and presenting commercial performance insights to leadership.
