Role Description
South West Plumbing is hiring for HVAC Technicians! In this position you will DISPATCH FROM HOME. We have a shop in Marysville and West Seattle for once-a week department meeting.
Job Duties:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, tune-ups, and system performance checks
- Accurately document findings, parts used, and work performed in service software
- Follow company, manufacturer, and safety standards on every job
- Assist with warranty work and system start-ups when required
- Build trust with homeowners by clearly explaining findings in simple, professional terms
- Present repair vs. replace options and educate customers on the benefits of each
- Recommend system upgrades, IAQ products (filters, UV, humidifiers, etc.), accessories, and maintenance plans
- Consistently achieve sales goals while maintaining ethical, customer-first practices
- Provide written estimates, secure approvals, and collect payments when required
- Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally presented
- Maintain clean work areas and respect customers’ homes
- Communicate timelines, next steps, and expectations clearly
- Deliver a 5-star service experience on every call
Qualifications
- Proven success meeting or exceeding service and/or sales goals
- 2+ years’ experience as a residential HVAC service technician (or equivalent field experience)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across common residential systems
- EPA 608 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to use mobile service software, tablets, and digital tools
