- Serve in a Technical Functional Area Lead (TFAL) role leading technical teams and workstreams.
- Design, develop, test, and install complex applications.
- Oversee relationships between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements result in flexible, reusable system components.
- Write highly complex design, coding, and testing documentation that yields purpose-built technical products that meet real needs.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in development, domain, application design, and database methodologies and best practices.
- Provide clients with technical consultations on highly complex projects by refining existing apps and designing new application modules and components.
- Mentor and guide less experienced application designers.
- Analyze customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan.
- Code, build, compile, and test online information and/or set up, load, and test systems hardware to create information deliverables.
- Help define/refine product requirements as a customer advocate.
- Interface with cross-functional areas as a member of the development team.
- Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Provide analysis of information and limited project direction input.
- Follow established guidelines and interpret policies.
- Evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of applications design, development, and programming with C language, UNIX/LINUX, SQL, job scripts/streams, and IWS (IBM Workload Scheduler).
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience documenting and executing unit test cases.
- Experience supporting system design, development, maintenance, and modification.
- Previous healthcare IT (Financial) systems experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong background in consulting roles with the ability to transition into a TFAL (Technical Functional Application Lead) role.
- A proactive change agent, committed to driving process enhancements and code improvements.
- Exceptional ability to engage and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders, including application developers, customers, support teams, and senior management.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the capability to mentor and develop individual contributors for high-performance teams.
