Role Description
- Lead end-to-end implementation of EDI solutions for clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design EDI workflows, and implement integration solutions.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various EDI standards (such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTPS).
- Stay current with emerging EDI technologies and trends and apply this knowledge to optimize existing systems and processes.
- Serve as clients' primary technical point of contact during the implementation phase.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on EDI best practices, customization options, and integration strategies.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex EDI-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with support teams to address escalated technical problems and implement preventive measures.
- Develop comprehensive documentation to support implementations, including specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams to enhance understanding of EDI processes and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform rigorous testing of EDI implementations to validate data integrity, system compatibility, and adherence to standards.
- Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure error-free data transmission and reception.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EDI implementation and integration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL, Oracle) and data transformation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Relevant certifications in EDI technologies (such as Certified EDI Professional) will be a plus.
