Role Description
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing the full trade life cycle across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange. You will ensure timely and accurate trade processing while collaborating closely with accounting, middle office, and trading teams to maintain data integrity and operational excellence. The position requires the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while building strong relationships across multiple business units. You will also monitor regulatory and market changes, identifying opportunities to enhance operational processes and efficiency. This role offers exposure to sophisticated investment operations systems and the chance to contribute to critical enterprise-wide initiatives. Success in this position will be defined by accuracy, collaboration, and the consistent delivery of high-quality operational outcomes.
- Oversee and manage the processing of trade life cycle events across all product types, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with accounting, middle office, and trading teams to resolve issues related to valuation, data integrity, and settlements.
- Develop strong working relationships with business unit managers and traders to facilitate seamless trade operations.
- Monitor market and regulatory changes and assess their impact on investment operations processes.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, standardize workflows, and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Support the adoption and optimization of the Aladdin operations platform across your team and operations workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in investment operations or derivatives operations, focusing on trade life cycle and settlements.
- At least 5 years’ hands-on experience using BlackRock’s Aladdin operations platform.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify, assess, and resolve complex operational issues.
- Excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across departments and influence decision-making in a sophisticated business environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
